1.0 OBJECTIVE :
- To lay down the procedure for Operation of Ultrasonic Cleaner.
2.0 SCOPE :
- This procedure is applicable to following ultrasonic cleaner.

5.0 PROCEDURE :
Ultrasonic cleaning is a process that uses ultrasound (usually from 20–40 kHz) to agitate a fluid.
5.1 PRECAUTIONS
- Do not operate the cleaner without water in the tank.
- Always maintain the required water level in the tank.
- Do not load objects directly on the base of tank, first put stainless steel basket (provided by supplier) on base and then load the sample on the basket.
- Do not insert your hand into the water when the unit is running, it may cause burning due to the temperature, discomfort or skin irritation.
- Put ultrasonic cleaner OFF when not in use.
5.2 OPERATION
- Fill water up to 3/4” of the tank.
- Switch ON the main power switch.
- Set the sonication time by UP ▲ and DOWN ▼ switches.
- Press ON/OFF switch to ON the heater, if necessary. Press the same switch to OFF the heater in between the set time.
- Red colour LED will glow when heater is ON.
- Load the glassware containing solutions in the tank.
- Press ON/OFF switch to ON the ultrasonic cleaner, Red colour LED will glow.
- Press the same switch to OFF the ultrasonic in between the set time.
- Press CHK to check the set time while ultrasonic cleaner is ON.
- Change the water of tank, if temperature of water is increased.
- Forged Ball Valve are provided back side of cleaner for removal of water from tank.
- Disconnect mains before emptying the water.
- Calibration of Digital timer is performed by approved outside agency on yearly basis.
